360 Logistics is very proud to have achieved AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality certification in 2013. This was achieved through 360 Logistics unwavering commitment to provide a process and procedure driven workplace for the benefit of our staff, customers and suppliers.

360 Logistics is equally proud to have also attained AS4801 or ISO 45001 certification.

 
 
 

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) are core values of 360 Logistics business. Management and staff are collectively committed to providing and maintaining a safe and environmentally conscious workplace for all staff, contractors and the community. Quality principals are the foundation on which all business and workplace activities are developed, documented and undertaken.

A strong safety culture has developed through training, daily pre-start and monthly toolbox meetings. 360 Logistics have recognised the need for continual improvements to ensure all personnel adopt “Best Industry Practises” to maintain a safe work environment.

This includes development and regular reviews of Safe Work Procedures, Hazard Awareness Training, Formal Manual Handling Training and safety related Policies. All personnel are encouraged to participate in the development, review and implementation stages and as such, “change” is welcomed rather than frowned upon.

360 Logistics commitment to safety is reflected in its LTI rates, which are considerably lower than industry and WorkCover averages.

360 Logistics is HACCP accredited in its Melbourne warehouse. HACCP stands for “Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points” and is an international standard defining the requirements for effective control of food safety. 360 Logistics handles and stores food grade products through its Melbourne warehouse and HACCP accreditation is therefore mandatory.

 

Chain of Responsibility

360 Logistics understands its role within the logistics component of the Chain of Responsibility legislation. 360 has developed procedures and systems checks to facilitate compliance within our Subcontractor Management Procedures and are committed to the following actions and practices:

  • Driver Fatigue: ensure there are systems for scheduling and rest breaks, monitoring of work and driving hours, training and awareness sessions for relevant personnel.

  • Driver Health: all driver medicals are of a standard acceptable to “Assessing Fitness to Drive” requirements.

  • Load Restraining: processes applied to ensure equipment design, procedures and training for load restraint.

  • Mass Management: processes applied to vehicle specification, vehicle specific load patterns, load sheets and containerisation.

  • Vehicle Maintenance systems: All vehicles are inspected and maintained in a systematic process within manufacturer’s requirements.

  • Training: Chain of Responsibility is incorporated within induction and refresher training for all relevant personnel.

  • Audit and Compliance - 360 Logistics conducts internal audits and checks, monitoring to monitor our goal of Chain of Responsibility compliance and a safer work environment for personnel and customers as part of our culture of safety.

Subcontractor Management

360 Logistics follows a strict process as per its Contractor Selection Process and Contractor Management Plan. The processes outline the manner in which checks and approves each subcontractor prior to engagement. It also outlines the ongoing management of each subcontractor to ensure that that they are providing a safe, compliant, commercially competitive and operationally sound service that adheres to all parties’ obligations under the Chain of Responsibility legislation.

360 Logistics maintain all subcontractors insurance certificates of currency on file – as well as the legally mandated compliance or certification documents. All subcontractors documents are audited regularly with a system set up to ensure all documents maintained on file are current.

In the event of higher value or more complex jobs, 360 Logistics audit the subcontractors premises and systems prior to engagement.

Aboriginal Engagement

360 Logistics has a proven record of engaging Indigenous Australians in its workforce. 360 Logistics has an internally developed “Indigenous Engagement Policy and Procedure” to provide commercial opportunities, employment and training for Aboriginal: businesses, Corporations and communities.

This has the dual approach of benefiting Indigenous Australian businesses and workers in the communities in which it delivers services to assist with capacity building. It also contributes towards 360 Logistics customers’ commitment to increase their engagement with Aboriginal businesses and development of a larger Aboriginal workforce.
